This policy explains what information PokerTX collects when you visit the site, why we collect it, and what choices you have. We run a static review site, so we collect less than most — but we want to be clear about what does happen.
What we collect
- Analytics and cookies. We use analytics cookies to understand which pages are read and how visitors move through the site. This is aggregate traffic data, not anything that identifies you by name.
- Server logs. Like any website, our hosting keeps standard access logs — the pages requested, timestamps, browser type, and the IP address the request came from.
- IP address. Your IP is recorded in those logs and may be used by analytics and security tooling in a coarse, location-level way (for example, to know roughly which region readers come from).
- Email you give us. If you email editorial@asyliatx.com, we receive your address and whatever you choose to write. We only get this if you send it.
How we use it
We use this information to run and improve the site: to see which reviews are useful, to keep the site secure and working, and to reply to messages you send us. We do not sell your personal information.
Third parties
A few outside services touch this data:
- Analytics providers process site-usage data on our behalf.
- Affiliate networks. When you click a link to an offshore poker room, that click may pass through an affiliate network's tracking link so the operator can credit the referral. That network may set its own cookies and record the click. We never share your email or other details you've given us with these networks.
- Our host and infrastructure process server logs as part of serving the site.
Cookies
We use essential, analytics, and affiliate/tracking cookies. What each type does and how to control them is covered in detail on our cookie policy.
Data retention
Server logs and analytics data are kept only as long as they're useful for security and traffic analysis, then rotated out or aggregated. Emails are kept as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up, and removed on request.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you and request that we delete it. Email editorial@asyliatx.com and we'll act on reasonable requests. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser at any time, and use your browser's private-browsing mode.
Children
PokerTX is intended only for adults aged 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 21. If you believe a minor has contacted us, write to editorial@asyliatx.com and we will delete the information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The date at the top reflects the latest revision; significant changes will be noted there. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
